I led Backbone for seven years. The company rebuilt around the 2high Festival in 2015, moved into the East Brisbane Bowls Club in 2016, and ran a full annual festival from 2017. Work included Babel, an outdoor performance with aerialists flown from a mobile crane over the bowling greens; Their Name Liveth For Evermore at Toowong Cemetery; and international residencies in Manchester and London. I first came to Backbone at 13.
